My '97 Tahoe is having a starting issue. It is acting like a dead battery. It first happened last night at thegas station, i had to have it jumped. After that it started maybe a half a dozen time last night. This morning I had to put the charger on it for it to start. I probably started a dozen times today with no issues. Tonight it did it again. Chrged it, drove it to O'Reillys and they checked the battery, charging and starter. Everything check okay. I noticed coming home yesterday and today a clicking sound coming from the left kick panel - glove box area. Is there any relays around there that would control the battery - charging system?

I don't think so, could it be the A/C fan?

I would suggest you check the battery and the connectors try to clean them up (battery and alt connectors)

I took the battery cables off this morning. The positive was a little loose. Thought I had found something. I put new bolts and cleaned the connectors on the cables and battery. Still had to charge it this evening. Everything check okay at the parts house.

The clicking I heard was when the heat or a/c was off

By the way something I noticed is when there is a short it consume the battery fast you can't believe how fast it does. I would use the volt reader and check for any shorts
