I have recently noticed a slight ticking while accelerating in my 2007 Yukon Denali. Any ideas?

First thing to look at would be the simplest. Small exhaust leaks sometimes tick and can sound like there is a problem with the engine. Check for that first, around where your manifolds bolt to your heads, and also underneath. A good way to listen for them is to have someone pit their hand over the tailpipe, and this will cause the exhaust to build back pressure in the system, if there is a leak you will begin to hear it even at idle.

Other than that, you might have a slight lifter noise, it doesn't seem common being on something that new though

Is it just right in the morning first thing? Or is it every time you accelerate?

under hard acceleration? could be engine knock....these engines are on the very limit if not just over the 87 octane range....one crappy tank of gas and it will run like crap

I hear it at various times throughout the day ... It doesn't appear to be isolated to when the truck is cold or warm. I run 93 in the truck.
