I've got a hifonics Brutus 1700 laying around I'll use. It's a little big for the sub but I'll run the sub but it'll be fine. This sub a little beefier then expected. Weighs about 18-20lbs, dual 2ohm, 700rms 1800peak.

And I have no idea why I waited this long lol

It's all good . I jus recently got a system after almost 5 years of not having one. And I've had a system in every vehicle since I was 16 lol. But this time I got more room with a SUV :893karatesmiley-thu, I've only had trucks before.

Yours should bump very nicely.:D

Yeahp just looking that little extra kick. My 08 Tahoe didn't have a system but my 04 went through a couple different ones. It started with a fosgate 10" p1 with a ssl 2000w monoblock (turned way down). Then it went to a 12" L5 same amp, moved to my current amp and a 18" FI Q in a 4 cubic foot sealed box. Then dropped down to a 12" mofo with the current amp.

I looked at so many different subs before choosing this one. Wanted to stay in the 60-80 dollar range. Looked at running two 8"s, one 10", 12" shallow and finally chose this one. Just liked the look the wattage ratings, had great reviews and I could make it fit under the seat. Was really aiming for a soundstream 10" sub but it was never in stock at sonic and this was basically the same thing

lol im sure one day I will wind up with the JBL shallow mount only because I like everything to match. But I have looked at quite few other options as well. the POS I have in there now really cant take much power and its only 4ohm soo that sucks

Lowes or Home Depot carry mdf. I usually go to Mernards because they carry a high variety and more then just full sheets. All I needed was a 4'x4' piece of mdf. Didn't want to buy a 4'x8' and just have extra laying around
