Put a little rubbing compound on those lenses by the license plate and it should bring out the dullness. Tried it on my 2002 Tahoe lenses and it made a huge difference.

In my experience the jdm astar bulbs are the best bang for your buck, and almost all the ones I've seen or used were around the 5000k color range.
3157/6 sizes , can't speak for 194s
