The reply.It was probably sold along with the latch, so your best bet may be to just grab a new latch from a salvage yard.
I took a look at mine, it doesn’t look like it would pry out without tearing it up.
I would think that any 92-99 would use the same part. Here’s a good search engine for local salvage yards...

I guess fabricating one from Teflon will be a better bet since I live in extreme hot climate and plastic parts tend to break all the time.
