OD in 3rd?

OK I just noticed something weird. I can get overdive in 3rd gear. I also shifted into 3rd while in OD and it stayed. I know because I hit the brake and it disengaged. WTF?

if it went away when you hit the brake enough to activate brake lights then what you are actually probably feeling is the torque converter lockup disengagement and that is normal. That make sense? hitting the brake should not cause a gear shift. and you can get lock up in third gear too.

Like he said, 'OD' is a physical gear in the trans.
