I just upgraded to a Denali cluster in my 2018 Suburban and it has the same symbol. Quite often it has "--" in it until I'm on a road long enough for the data to come through.Never seen this light on in my dash before and don’t know what it is, looked on the www and could not fined what it means. I turned right and it went away. See photo
I haven't. I was guessing it got the information either through my phone or from the onboard sat nav database, but I have no idea.By any chance did you recently activate OnStar wifi? That is supposed to provide speed limit info using an online database.
I don't use the onboard SAT NAV so I can't really say. I use AA/Carplay. But I was under the impression that the speed limit database was a "for pay" feature.I haven't. I was guessing it got the information either through my phone or from the onboard sat nav database, but I have no idea.
On the news, I heard that in California, they're going to mandate GPS speed governors, making it impossible to go over the speed limit under any circumstances. That would be the posted, recommended speed limit. Otherwise know as what you start with, plus 20 mph for the cruise control!
