im looking for a black grill for my 05 tahoe

Check out http://www.streetsceneeq.com/product_list.asp?makeid=3&modelid=75&year_id=2005&x=10&y=7

Street Scenes offers a black chrome speed grille which is like the style I have, but for your Tahoe. Mine came from street scene also.

If you like that black chrome speed grille, I'd recommend getting the part # and check the pricing on http://www.summitracing.com

Summit was cheaper than street scene for my grille, although it took nearly 3 weeks for them to ship to me due to backorder.

If you're wanting a "billet" style grille, I haven't found a black grille, but there may be someone out there who makes one. I've seen black billet for the late model GMC trucks, but haven't seen one for the Tahoe/Yukon.

I have a friend who painted his billet style grille black on his '07 Tahoe a while back, and the painting seems to be holding up well against rock chips so far. Powder coating is always an option if you have the time and a little extra money.

Hope this helps a little.

I like it a lot!!!....

Take InTruckDesign's lead and trim up your front air dam. It'll give you a little extra clearance and won't get caught up on things and ripped off as easily. It'll also help balance the look of truck--especially without the running boards!

Thanks for the advice. I don't have a picture to post, but I trimmed about 1-1/2" to 2" off of the air dam a couple weeks ago, and it does look a lot cleaner now.

looks good but the truck looks a little to high for my taste...

and i like having the running boards on... they give the truck more bulkiness! but to each their own

Wheel Specs

Your truck looks incredible, I am going with the same lift setup but different wheels.

I know it has been a long time but I was hoping you can still give me a hand. From what I can tell the rims on your truck are 9" wide and have a 30mm offset...Is that correct? What about the backspacing?

I am wondering how/if the stance will change if I go with a wheel with the same width but a 38mm offset and 6.5 backspacing. Any idea?

Thanks!
