I know this subject has been beaten to death so I have a idea and wondered if anyone has given it a try.

Here we go,
Is it possible or has anyone tried to use the rear level ride sensors and the OEM pump in an aftermarket bag installation? say maybe using some of the Air-Lift bags in the springs or air bags to replace the coils. Can it be used in a standalone setup?

if I could get my hand on a wiring diagram for the level ride system I might give it a try.

yes people have tried, no it doesn't work. I'd have to try and search for the specific threads, but it doesn't work.

I did find a GM training manual, and the proper wiring dia. I should be able to make the OEM pump work to fill and deflate with a simple 2 position switch. As for making it a true automatic leveling system....no. There's just to much computer control needed to make it work automatically.

But from the manual it says...The compressor is a positive displacement air pump. It can generate upto 150 lbs. of pressure per square inch.
I didn't think the OEM compressor could build that kind of pressure.
