Well, yes the light pattern sucks. HID's are not designed for halogen housings. The oe Denali projector is a good start.

Just about any projector is going to be an improvement over the stock halogen reflectors.

not true. most of the chinese projectors (the ones with all the hondaesque pointless little LEDs in them) have alot less output than the stock lights....alot of them are so bad they are dangerous.

I've said for a few years that 99% of aftermarket lights with useless LED's and cheap Halos are absolute crap and to not buy them. People don't listen cause they want a look.

I could have gone the other way with it, though: The only way to insure good HID output is with an HID projector or a reflector designed specifically for HID. That means, if you're serious about getting the best results, the only option is to retro in an HID projector. All other results will fall somewhere between "bad" and "better" output instead of "best".

Bottom line is that yes, the Denali headlights are going to be an improvement over the yukon lights with HID's in them. They will not be perfect, though, because they aren't an HID projector, they are a halogen projector.

X2
Would like to just buy them and install instead of modding new or old housings.

No, not really.

You can have a custom shop do the retro for you, but you pay a premium for that. I have never seen an aftermarket light that came equipped with actual quality HID projectors, although they may claim it.
