I recently upgraded my factory radio with 6 disc to a factory Nav unit. I wired it up and everything works as it should . The only issue is that the unit doesn't turn off when I open the driver side door. It eventually times out after about 10 min or so. Nonetheless it's annoying and I want it to work as it should. Is this just a matter of getting a dealer to reprogram the unit for my truck? Or is this a wiring issue I can fix on my own?
