OEM Roof Rack

Does anyone have the OEM Chevy roof rack if so why is the rear 1 inch taller than the front? The parts guy at Chevy dealer has no idea.

Wait— The rear crossmember sits on the side rails higher than the front? Is that what you’re saying?

I measure them both and the rear is 1 inch taller sitting on a level surface. When they are installed the rear is still 1 inch taller to the roof, so they appear not to be level. The parts guy at Chevy says he never noticed before, but the picture on the Chevy site shows them that way. I wanted to know if any buddy else has them installed and using without any issue.

I wonder if it has to do with the roof slanting down toward the back?

Any pictures of what you are describing? They should be interchangeable front to back because, in theory, they should be the exact same cross member.

They are stamped on the bottom which one is front & rear, right/left side. I returned them to the dealer and didn't take and pictures.
