Hey folks, first post here.
I have an 02 Tahoe, 2WD. No enging oil cooler.
The gasket between the engine block and Oil Cooler Adapter Plate is leaking. Thought I'd replace the gasket, but when I started backing off on the two bolts oil started leaking out between the plate and enging block. So I tightened it up again.
I thought I'd be good to go since the plate is above the oil pan. Guess not.
Do I have to drain the oil before removing the plate or will it stop dripping oil after a little drains out?
