Is there an improved valve cover I should be looking at, instead of just changing the gasket? If so, what's the item #? Thank you

The pvc setup in the original valve cover clogs up. This prevent the pvc system from keeping a vacuum on the crank case. Instead you end up with pressure in the crank case which forces oil out of the engine via gaskets, piston rings, etc.

The new improved driverside valve cover, GM# 12570427, is the fix.

Need some help. How in the world do you get the last bolt out of the coil pack on the passenger side? It's up against the firewall. 10 mm

You should be able to get a socket on it to start, then you may need to put a ratcheting wrench on it and pull the bolt out with the coil pack. It's been a few years since I have had to do that, but that is what is coming to mind for me.

You can squeeze in there with 1/4" drive deep socket 10 MM, Break it loose with a ratchet then it should be finger loose usually. I always take that one out first so there is no stress on it.

Do you have a universal joint for your socket set?

I always find 1/4" drive easier to work with in tight spots.

That was one of the hardest bolts I have ever had to deal with. I got it out, but bent it beyond repair. How important is this bolt in the long run. I'm not sure I could get back in there.
