I have 07 Tahoe LTZ with 112k miles. In last 20k miles i changed oil level sensor twice. Last one lasted only 5k miles. Im thinking bypassing sensor with splicing those two wires. Does anyone know is that all is needed for making ECU think level is ok or do i have to install resistor

No im talking about yellow long plastic sensor that goes on passenger side of oil pan. Oil pressure is still good and oil is full.
Its funny. First time when i replaces i had oil pressure cel and gauge was going left to right. But it was oil level sensor that was bad and new sensor fixed issues. And than like 10-15k miles i got low oil message without code so i replace oil level sensor. And that was 5k miles ago. Now same thing
I think oil pressure sensor is located behind intake but i dont think i need one

I just tested brand new oil level sensor with voltmeter. I duck taped sensor in bottle half full of water. With little plastic sleeve floating i get closed circuit or 0.00 ohm resistance. When i tip bottle plastic sleeve goes down and i get open circuit 0.L ohm resistance
So ECU only get open or closed circuit. And to fake signal all you have to do is splice two wires from connector or use jumper wire or paper clip on ECU connector.
Yes if oil level goes down you wont gett warrning but that why we have oil dipstic
Now question is where is ECU located on Tahoe and does anyone have ECU pinout ?
Thanks
