Oil plug tool

What specific wrench or tool do I need to remove the oil pan plug when changing my oil? I'm not looking to buy a whole set of anything, just the one specific tool for this use. I've seen mention of a torque wrench but that seems a bit much.

For the oil drain plug?

Just a socket wrench or box end wrench. I believe it's 15mm

Just a 15mm wrench and an oil filter wrench for the filter. If it has a replacement drain plug, it's probably 13mm. My magnetic aftermarket is 13. Oem is 15

The required socket is 15 mm and the torque is 25 Nm / 18 ftlbs for the screw and 30 Nm / 33 ftlbs for the oil filter itself.

There is and always has been a torque spec for the oil filter

That said, I've never put a torque wrench on one and have always done hand tight

Gotcha. Guess with 40 years of going hand tight, I never looked into it.
