Hopefully it will last until next year so I can just drop a couple grand for a new crate motor and call it done.
I checked the coolant today, and it looks like a brownish-grey sludge in the radiator. I've heard that this could be from running Dexcool too long, or it could be head gasket failure or cracked head and/or block... which could explain my low oil pressure, but I'm sure it's just worn out and has too much clearance on the bearings. Luckily, we just got a second vehicle. So the Tahoe will just be driven back and forth to work until it decides it doesn't want to run anymore. I keep my rpms below 3000 just to keep it from working too hard -- don't want to give it an excuse to quit on me earlier than I want it to.
