I’m need to replace the oil pressure sensor and wants to stick with ACDelco/GM Genuine parts first but will consider another brand if the quality is better.

I looked at the reviews for the current replacement parts and it appears they’re made in Mexico now. A lot of people were saying that the quality’s not there anymore and are having issues just a few months after. There were suggestions of going with the one that’s made with “brass”?

I want to replace it with a quality part because it’s a pain in the @$$ to replace the darn thing. Let me know the part# that y’all had success with. Thank you!

Yep, go with Delco for sure. When replacing mine: first genuine Delco part: during installation, I managed to snap off the top (plastic) part where the pigtail plugs in… so purchased a “Standard” replacement, since there was no Delco available locally and it’s my daily.. that sensor failed catastrophically within less than 60 days, and actually sprung a leak while driving, causing a low oil pressure issue, while spewing. Next replacement was a genuine Delco part, which worked for about 2-3 months, then failed, and read 80psi, as my original had done. Third Delco part failed about 3-4 months after installation. Finally, on the fourth replacement (another AC Delco genuine part), she’s been working since, about a year. Fingers crossed that it lasts a while. Come to think of it, I’ll order a spare, just in case. But I agree, obviously the quality is not what it should be.. (part#: 12677836)
