Which is why I facetiously wrote all of that because having all those extra moving parts and actions in an oil pump seemed ridiculous. Like, who in their right mind would do that to such a critical part that has been operating so reliably in it's current design for nearly a century? Then I saw that article and that it does exist. *facepalm

I wrote about that pump the other night in another thread. There's a reason our Gen III and Gen IV LS motors are going to outlast the Gen V LTs, they are too darn complicated and expensive.

In their quest for performance and luxury, durability and simplicity is going by the wayside. They're starting to make Lugers and not 1911s. Or BMWs and not Chevys! I like tech but come on now. Wonder how much those oil pumps cost compared to ours?
