well fellas its in and playing on about half power.. took a lot longer than expected never even got to the big 3 yet but DAMN! I need deadener like no other took me forever to get the sub to work because my switch on the amp was set up as input slave and gain was too low to move the sub but now its slammin pretty good. in the hour or so ive listened to it the sub has already gotten lower/louder cant wait to see how it sounds in a few weeks fully broke in.

Awesome! I just finished up my system a few weeks ago... still fine tuning the amp/EQs, etc. etc.

I'm so ignorant when it comes to audio stuff, I didn't even know that the sub's had to be broken in.

some do some dont.. this sub just says it has a unique layered spider system that needs time to be broken in properly and set up so to avoid low notes until you have played it for about 10-12 hours. it says if you avoid that you will get excessive suspension noise so i tried my hardest and finally just started beating on it pretty good but its just laughing at the 1200 watts im giving it i think i could easily put it on a aq2200 and have no problems whatsoever.

Most dont, but to get 'optimal' performance, it is best. Lets the suspension loosen up, glues to warm and cyle in.
