....the a/c quits. She took it in for a transmission shift problem and it came out without working A/C. I'm traveling but am told the blower isn't working though the stored codes are B0423 (Temp Conrol 2 Feeback) and B0228 (Recirculate Position Feedback). I have to take her word for it that there's no blower, only rear console air blowing warm. It doesn't seem to me that these codes would knock out the blower but I'm not 100% sure of what she's telling me til I see it myself. From what i read it's related to the passenger side climate and not the entire system but she's sweltering.

Has anyone dealt with this? 2012 Tahoe LT.
TIA

No, those two actuators should not cause the blower motor not to work or for the compressor to not turn on. Does the tool she is using to pull codes, can it perform a reset or calibration of the actuators? Can she tell you the hi and low side pressures? Is the compressor turning?

I don't know about the compressor... the blower is only running at its idle speed that they all do with the key on. She just replaced the resistor pack but no dice. Still no blower. Reprogram the unit? I ordered a pass-thru VXDiag but won't have it until tomorrow at which point I'll be in MN.

Test the blower motor, no amount of tech tool testing will tell you if the motor is working or not, until you determine if the motor is good or not your just wasting time, check the harness plug for voltage also

if you haven't done so yet, pull the negative on the battery and let it sit for 20min.
then reconnect to see if it suddenly starts working.

Also, I'll toss it out there,
theme this month helping people...
Me mentioning AC work on the wife's car and her sister's car, and people's eyes light up.

I have two plugged cabin filters so far.
First one even confused me for a sec.
I heard what sounded like a low setting on the blower, then as i turned the dial i noticed a sound/load increase decrease.
The cabin filter was probably original. :jester:

The other one was a plugged cabin filter also, but I think they ran it so long plugged it either blew the blower motor or the resister.
I haven't heard back on that one yet.

And of course, if you have a tech2 or something that can call the modules and view voltages and "counts" for the blend doors that would be very helpful.
You should also be able to control the blower, or at least see what it's doing and see other helpful data.

Ditto on checking the harness plug pins. They are a know problem. When they get loose the resistance goes up and it burns out the fan. Look inside the connectors to see melted pin.
