There is never intentional condescension in any of my posts. If I feel the need to be condescending, I check myself and either respond politely or keep scrolling. I do not want to be immortalized being a dick to someone I don't know and am likely never to meet, whether or not I'm giving advice on a topic not covered by the post's title. And I suspect I know why you are having issues with your suspension wearing out prematurely.
Oh really, do tell?

I average 60k miles plus annually driving in a variety of conditions all across a major metro city in conjunction with plenty of time off highway at our farm. When I say it’s eating them, I mean i have replaced the last two sets of Moog each year. So it’s not like it’s blowing through them super quick but noticeably quicker than in the past. I have owned the vehicle in question since 2006. My setup has been virtually the same since roughly 2008. I’m the past, I have gotten roughly 75-100k miles of trouble free use of of Moog tie rods specifically even with lift keys. Now I get roughly 50k if I’m lucky. Hence the reason for my original question. The only variable in the equation is the product quality. I appreciate the response but something is not “wrong or off”. The knuckles are stock on all three of my trucks. Never had any issues with premature wear until the last handful of years. They simply don’t last like they should. I’ve personally logged over 400k miles on this truck myself. I know it better than I know myself
"LIFT KEYS" create a different angle, you come on here asking for help or experience regarding a product, I personally don't think thicker or sturdier tie rods will help at all unless your's are getting bent or broken because that's the only purpose of the "upgraded" tie rods, but it sounds more like they are simply wearing out?
my experience on this issue is limited but I wonder if some 2500 spindles would fit? or if they are even different at all, the 2500's have a oem body lift so I would think maybe the spindles are different to compensate for that? just spit balling, if you do not want to take a different approach or look at it, then so be it.

Based on interactions with @S33k3r since I joined TYF, I don't believe there was any personal attack on your professional experience related to mechanical abilities or knowledge about off-road builds intended here.
I used to have a Jeep TJ that came to me with a 3" body lift. That was more for the aesthetics, giving the 33" tires the appearance of decent clearance. But IMHO, I would be the first to say that I did not consider that a "real lift" because it was more for looks than improving any real off-road capabilities.

That said...

This group has been one of the best I have been involved with in the auto hobby. From what I have seen, there is always a willingness to help any way possible.

I would tend to agree that changing geometry might be a better long term solution towards eliminating the need for the front end having to be constantly replaced/upgraded.

Take the high road and end the return volleys of snarkiness and negativity... Time to let it go and move on in a more positive way.

It hasnt had ”lift keys” on it since 2016. It’s had GM white keys since then. Same as the ones on my Tahoe. Im well aware of the ill effects of torsion crank, regardless of what keys are in a given vehicle. YES I agree they are just wearing out. The initial question about beefier ends should have been clarified more on my part. Yes, most aftermarket performance inner and outers are going to be slightly larger diameter than stock. Even the moog problem solvers in question are slightly larger than stock. Moog also used to produce a better quality ball socket on their rod ends and ball joints. I am noticing premature wear, hence the reason I posed the original question regarding any experience with a better quality part. I appreciate the references to Kryptonite. The ball socket on those looks pretty robust. I could care less if they are one or two pieces units. Ive Never used tie rod sleeves on these rigs because I have never broke one as some hardcore wheelers do. I’m interested primarily in a better quality ball socket because to both of our points, Moog isn’t what it used to be

you are correct, I came here looking for a real world response regarding use different brands of upgraded tie rod ends. I didn’t come here to argue pros/cons of torsion bar suspension nor the actual mechanics of it either.


I regards to the 2500 spindles, they are no doubt taller and beefier. If my tie rod angles were severe, I’d be inclined to look that direction vs the rod ends themself. My tie rod angles are not severe. 12 years ago, my angles were not so great with lift keys and also cranked turning 315/75/16 tires at that time period. Even with the larger tires and more extreme angles, i still did not experience as much premature wear out of moog Products back then. Again, the whole reason for the post initially

No you understood right. Love how everyone always has their two cents to add on pages like these and it’s rarely anything pertinent or useful to the info to the topic at hand. I’m not your damn brother. Go eat a dick and mind your own business.
