I'm trying to stream Pandora but there's no sound coming out of the speakers. When I hit the Mute button on the SWC, then I can hear the music briefly, but the ***** from Onstar starts yapping at me. When she hangs up, it mutes the music again.

I've had the Pioneer for several months now (Best Buy installed it), but I've never been able to get the MirrorCast feature to work or watch a DVD. I'm starting to think BB did NOT hook up the head unit to the parking brake. I tried to install the relay to defeat the parking brake lockout "feature", and that seems to what triggered Onstar.

Where is the Onstar module on a '04 Yukon? I dropped the glove box out of the way and I can see the a unit behind there with two connectors: green plastic that looks to be a GPS antenna and a rectangular connector with six conductors and a blue tab that must be the release, but I can't get it to budge. But that's the module, right?

Thanks guys. This is making me nuts.

I should have mentioned that this spaghettified mess is using the PAC RP5-GM11 interface which "retains OnStar functions."

Should be a way to defeat that, right?

wow, that's a first, you don't need relay to go around parking brake, just put the HD in to "store mode"

There is a built in bypass on the nex for video in motion, very easy to do on the screen

if you want to truly disable onstar you have to unplug it, but it sounds like best buy didn't program the steering wheel controls correctly.

I was never a fan of PAC, I used maestro idatalink instead, much better product.

Checking the video now, thanks.

The SWC works the same as it did with the factory radio. Mute button wakes up OnStar. No buttons on the rear view mirror for it. Not that I have a subscription.

Either way, I definitely want to disable OnStar. Have I correctly identified the module? Damned if I can figure out how to get the connector to release.

Well, crap.
I mean thanks, that's awesome.
Let's not tell the lawyers.

Hopefully removing the relay will shut up that snarky *****.

should be the blue one, there may be a beige color clip on it that prevents the harness clip from ever coming out on it's own
