How do I remove the OnStar unit from my 2010 Tahoe? Fat chance the OnStar Spy Agency and GM goons will post a "how-to" response, huh? :rotflmao:

I would think if you removed or disconnected the onstar antenna you should be good. Same concept as removing the radio antenna....

Instead or taking it out, leaving a bunch of useless buttons on your rear view or your dash. Try Blue Star.

After Onstar has been in the news as of late.

How do I remove the Onstar unit from my '05 Tahoe. Will everything work without it or is it hard wired into the electrical system of the truck?

Just rip that sucker outta there! JK, I believe you can disconnect the harness from the back of the onstar module. It's connected to the stereo but I don't think it will affect it.

Hey that looks pretty cool! Have you, or anyone else here, tried this yet?

I did it on a Trail Blazer. It works just like OnStar, incoming calls automatically mute the radio and place the sound through the speakers. The mic is already installed and conversations are great. It was a bit frustrating figuring out which buttons did what. Installation is too easy. It was all under the passenger seat, and literally plug and play.

Great, I may try that. Thanks!

Got one for sale. I plugged it up today and it works just fine. It needs the updates... PM me if you are interested.
