So I am looking at these rims from KMC. They will be going on a 2001 Tahoe, stock height. Wont be lowering because I need to be able to throw my winter/hunting tires back on sometimes.

Anyway, I am trying to decide between 20's and 22's. Knocked out 24's from the list because tires cost too much and I want more tire for the crappy Colorado roads. Tell me otherwise if I am thinking wrong.

Also, What size tire would be good? Brand wise also? I was thinking Pirelli.

Oh, one more thing, what offset? +15 or +30? Dont know what they mean lol.

Thanks guys!

20's, for sheer sidewall, but if I had to do it again, I would do 22's

tires, Nitto 420s...love em...is that the Brodie?

Yeah they are the Brodies. Thanks for the tire recommendation, will have to check em out.

Any reason you went with the 20's over 22's? And you say you would go with 22's if you had another choice. I guess I would have to see some pictures to see how much sidewall there is. I could see myself leaving them on for minor offroad use to get to a easy camp site or something.

I ordered new tires, on second set of Nittos, first set lasted about 3 years, sold them to a guy in NY that will use them another year. Love those tires.
So while I ordered new tires, i didnt plan on selling rims, but then did.,,so had brand new Nittos 20s...but if I had to buy a complete set again, would be 22's

Defiantly 20" with a 15mm offset and 285/50/20 rubber but that's just my 2cents

I have 22's with a +13 on 305/40 22's at stock height. I'm really happy with them. I wouldn't do 20's (personally).

How bout with a mild 2/3 drop? Would the +13 offset still suffice with 22s? Or should I go with a +40 offset? ( sorry for the mild hijack!)

I would at least go +15.

+40 sounds okay to me, but watch for inner fender well rub in the front (when turning).
