Opinions on bug guard

What does everyone think about bug guards on Tahoes? I had a weathertech but when I had my truck in for some work at carmax they slammed the hood shut and the bug guard hit my brush guard and broke. They bought me a new one but I haven't installed it yet. Trying to decide if I should put it on or just sell it.
