For the steering wheel controls you should get the metra axxess aswc-1 I just had it put in with my new dd nav unit (alpine ines-s920hd). I had a PAC unit before for the steering wheel controls and it sucked because it had a very slow response time. The aswc-1 works like its stock with no delay, it retails for about $100 but you can get it on eBay for half that. The alpine unit is great too it's a last year model & it's half the price of the 2013 model which is pretty much the same except for a slightly smaller screen size and a few minor features.

Hey, Here is what I have done

Anybody know if it effects the rear radio controls or the dvd wireless headphones

I purchases an Alpine D-310 flip Monitor with DVD and I wired it in for Navigation. I pulled my old Navigation from the place where the stereo is mounted. I mounted my D-310 Alpine where the 6 disc CD changer was. I pulled that and mounted my alpine there. I purchased another alpine input Screen only and wired that to my d-310 so I could run the stereo from the top or bottom unit. The I installed a 21" TV widescreen on the ceiling for the rear passengers. This was hard because I had a moon roof and what I did was make a box to mount my TV too and also where the moon roof can roll all the way back with out hitting any of my bracing. I purchased an Alpine IPod Adapter so I can run the alpine from my touch screens and I also Installed an M300 updateable Navigation which is nice because out of my 3 screens I can keep the two screens keep on playing the movie without interrupting there screens I can change the visual on the D-310 and run the navigation part. I can have the passengers watching a movie while I'm getting directions from my d-310. This is a one of a kind hook up because I have never seen this before and it works great for my family. They could watch movies and I could listen to the radio, listening to my iPod, or setting up a new destination in my navigation unit ran through the Alpine head Unit. Alpine used to have these old clumsy Navigation units that uses DVD's but the new M300 is about the size of a bar of soap its that small and its very easy to hide and update. Just plug your laptop up plug it into the navigation unit, the unit in your car and upload the new maps to the m-300. Its as simple as that. This navigation has never steered me wrong in Chicago was a breeze and St. Louis was the same. Alpine did it right this time. As far as connecting everything it would take a 7.5 out of ten to install everything I installed. Take care and please font hesitate to ask any questions. Take care

I have had the PAC steering wheel sensors and bypass in two of my vehicles and also the Pac 7 to play DVDs while on the road and they work great. They are as fast and its just as fast to push the buttons on the Radio as it is to use the controls on the steering wheel
