Dealer told me today that my order for a High Country Tahoe has been "pulled". When you order something from a retailer and the object is in stock, they go and pull it off the shelf and it heads for shipping. I would assume that if the order has been "pulled", that means all the pieces and parts are available.
It was held up by constraints, mainly any "package" because they had the adaptive cruise, but the dealer ordered everything but the cruise individually and said there were no constraints. I ended up paying about as much as I would have if I bought a package with the cruise but....what u gonna do?
I read about all these terms and status, I don't know why everything has to be so confusing. The dealer has not been forthcoming. I don't get why we got to play these games. It appears to have been held up all this time just because of the cruise that I can do without. (There were also constraints on the power console and the backup braking. I got rid of those as well.)
I will follow up when I get more info. I ordered the Tahoe on 1/21/2022.

Our dealer seems to keep playing games. We can’t get a straight answer as to where our Tahoe is.

Yeah. I suppose I should have asked what "pulled" means but I don't want to take the chance that I become a pest. He doesn't seem to mind that I call but he is very slow to pass on info. He just says he will let me know..... Like with this, i was told on the 22nd by the manager that the salesman would email the changes for my approval. I never got an email so I sent one to him with my approval over the weekend. He wasn't working the weekend so when I didn't hear anything, i called late on Monday. He said he was waiting on the person who submits the order. I waited until Friday and I called which is when he told me the "order had been pulled". I at least feel fairly confident that nothing was on the constraint list. Hopefully I will find something out this week.
A while ago when I asked where it was in line he said that as soon as the constraints come off it would be the next one. I assumed he was referring to their allocations. I hope it is soon because I sold my CTS V and I only have my showroom condition, never been in the rain, 2001 C5 that I bought new to drive. Luckily I live in San Diego. C5-4b.jpg

OK! Tried calling 1-800-222-1020 was told I need to get the order # from dealer. Got the # and asked what "order pulled" meant and was told it means it went into production. Called 1-800 # again with order # and got someone different. Try as she might was not able to get info. She was by told someone to tell me I had to contact dealer. Dealer isn't an option. Wondered why I didn't get the same person the 2nd time I called??? Thought maybe calling "again" sent me to someone else. Hmmm! Called 1-800 # again but used *67. Ah! Got the person I talked to the first time. She informed me that the TPW (Tentative Production Week - I wondered what that stood for.) is 5/16/22. But advised me that could change at any time. I don't quite know what all these codes like 2000 and 3000 mean and she didn't know either. She offered to find out but I declined the offer. I am guessing that 2000 is where I am at now and 3000 will be where I am at when it actually goes into production?????

So, to sum up - order pulled does not mean it is in production, you can order everything in the Deluxe Package for the High Country individually except the Adaptive Cruise, if you don't get the info you want by calling the 1-800 #, try, try again and as a last resort dial *67 before the number.

I am, hopefully, KOnWood, fingers and toes crossed, getting a Tahoe High Country with Sun roof, retractable steps, black bowties and name plates, Brembo brakes, 6.2L, Black (SRL) wheels and Air Ride suspension with the obligatory max trailering package in Satin Steel Met. Originally wanted Black but over the 3 months that I have been waiting changed to the black nameplates which includes the "High Country" on the fender and not planning to black it out and not wanting to be mistaken for a limo or a cartel vehicle if I go over the border decided to go with the Steel.

Baring any unforeseen circumstances, this was less painful than I had anticipated but while I am a follower of Murphy I tend more to the belief of Clark who sees Murphy as an optimist. Less than 2 weeks to P day. New Picture.png

GM has an antiquated ordering system. It is not setup for ~90% of the buying public to order their vehicle and then get adequate communication that makes sense as it goes from order to production and then delivery. There's a lot of information out there as to how this whole process works, spend a bit of time reading on the forum and you'll gather some info, but be warned even after spending 6+ months researching, I still haven't been able to figure out all the details of the process.

It sounds like your order is moving along. If you have a TPW, then that means you're at 3400. Don't get too excited though, because your order could get built in the plant and then shoved into a yard where it sits waiting for more parts that weren't available when it went down the line. I hope that doesn't happen to you, but there are others here that know their rig has been built and is sitting in a yard called Midlothan with no communication on when it will get shipped to the dealer.

Well! Aren't we a little ray of sunshine? Just kidding. I am definitely not getting ahead of myself. I realize anything goes. I worked for GM for 35 years.
Thanks for the insight. I will update as things progress. As Jim would say, "So! Your sayin' there's a chance."

TPW 5/16/2022 Called today the 17th. Only info is that TPW is 5/16/2022. Didn't say it but thought, today is the 17th - Tuesday? GM doesn't know what it is doing the rest of the week. Asked, so that means it is still not in production? Answer - Yes! OK. I will call again Friday. (Actually will probably call Thursday. Probably won't be able to wait till Friday. They should know by Thursday. Right?) Stay tuned.

TWP is for the week of 5/16 for your truck to be built. Bot the day it will be built. So sometime this week it should be aseembled or is already in production. Unless they have a hiccup at the plant or something changed.

Your not going to get any new information this week don’t waste your time, I was just like u with my truck 2 months ago. Could be built any day this week. Your better off to wait until end next week amd your salesman will need look it up. GM chat will be worthless after it’s built
