The Tahoe has a high beam bulb and a low beam bulb. Most people who upgrade their HID's usually do just the low beams. Yukon's/Sierra's use Bi-Xenon HID's because they only have one bulb to do both high beam and low beam. When I had a Tahoe I got HID's for my high beam and low beam. I now have an Avalanche with just the low beam because the HID high beam doesn't look as bright as the factory high beam.
Felix is right. I had the dual HIDs in my Expedition and when I turned on my brights they were the same as the lows because HID bulbs basically burn at the same temp. So a 6000K high will be the same as a 6000K low. That's why they have the bi-xenon projectors which allow only a certain amount of output when you have low beams and when you turn on your high beams the solenoid opens up and allow more light out which means.....MORE OUTPUT!!!!
