Well after dropping the tranny/ transfer case a few weekends ago I'm gonna let someone else do it... And I'm going to sell her and buy a newer suburban... I'm looking at a 2005 Yukon XL 2500, 4wd, 6.0L and with quad captain chairs... Only 65,000 miles for $16,000

Well the guy sold the burban.... So I'm giving the ole girl one more chance.... Found that the push rod was fine... The # 7 intake rocker bolt had loosened up so replaced with a new one... And now she's quiet again.....

Unless you are turning some pretty serious RPM, or have poor valve trail geometry due to worn parts, larger cam I think that its rare to bend a push rod on a stock 350.

WTF?! Are you sure you loosened the nut and didn't pull the stud out of the head??

I'm glad you got it worked it out. I feel your frustration but, I cant even think about selling my Hoe.
