So I joined a “Yukon Denali Only” page on fb a little while back just for shiggles….. lol it’s been an interesting show to watch. So many trucks clapped out and running on 26 and 28s and can’t figure out why their trucks ride like garbage or constantly have suspension issues….. lol. Fun to watch.

Anyways on to my question, guy I was interacting with today, commenting on a post that was on other topic, claims he has a 2004 Yukon Denali, 1500 with FACTORY QUADRASTEER setup……. Says he even has a factory build sheet that confirms it. And also claims he’s had a 2005 Z71 burb with factory quadrasteer. Anyone that knows GM better than I do can confirm this was even available? I’ve NEVER seen any 1500 SUV, Denali or not, with quadrasteer. Like not even seen any brochures or literature to even suggest it was available. In all the SUVs I looked at prior to purchasing mine before I’d actually decided on buying a GM, I don’t think I even saw a quadrasteer come up for sale. Have seen a few 3/4 ton Yukon XL trucks with quadrasteer and I think a 3/4 ton burb with it. Seen a few quadrasteer 3/4 ton silvys and Sierras. I know that there were only a couple years that the C3 sierra SLT and Denali half ton quadrasteer pickups could be had, and have seen a couple running around. Knew a family friend up here in big bear that had a SLT quadrasteer 1500 sierra, that was beat to heck. And his quadrasteer wasn’t functioning. I’ll be curious to see the guys photos he says he has.

Anyone got any insight? My brain is curious now lol.

I've seen some Denali trucks for sale here with QS, in ECSB configuration. 1500 of course.

Pretty rare, but they did make CCSB 2500 trucks, non-HD. Which leads me to believe the QS Dana 60 was limited to GVWR of 8600 lbs on these trucks. The 2500 vs 2500HD vehicles are a GVWR of 8600 vs 9200 lb, respectively.

2500 Suburbans did have QS. I believe only the LQ4 had them, not the 8.1s. Which further proves my theory of the limitation of the Dana 60 QS vs the 14 bolt 10.5" full float axle.

2500 Avalanches never got QS.

1500 Yukon Denali with QS? Negative, as far as I know. It's likely someone swapped in it. Or he got some sort of production prototype. Actually, it's likely someone modified it (or he's full of $hit. You can't trust a lot of folks on those social media site). All the known QS examples I mentioned, the QS Dana 60 are leaf spring suspension. Denali 1500 SUVs are coil springs...go figure.

There's definitely some odd trucks out there, in the changeover years. I once saw for sale a 1999 ECSB 2500 non-HD Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3, manual transmission (NV4500 most likely), 10.5" 14 bolt axle. The guy claimed everything was original.

Ask him for the VIN, then use GM Parts Giant's VIN decoder.
CompNine's VIN decoder works better, but you need to pay for it.
Either way, that should get you the definitive answer regarding QuadraSteer.

It's very unlikely.

RPO "NYS-STEERING, FOUR WHEEL"

Not likely to be worth it for a Tahoe / Yukon / Escalade with a mere 116.0" wheelbase,
but I do wonder how much their turning radius would be improved by QuadraSteer.

Closest I'll ever get to QuadraSteer is applying too much tire shine to the rear wheels ...

Yeah I’ve seen a few examples of the Denali half ton ECSB quadrasteers. I actually like that particular truck. The back end wheel wells kinda look like a duallie rear end even though it’s not. lol
