So I've been traveling a lot for work and play, taking my 09 ppv. This week I noticed what I felt like was the car going into overdrive and then the overdrive disengaging. I have 188k on the trick and don't think The Trans has ever been replaced.

Noticed this also this also when I was driving the truck in 3rd I would get little surges. No engine lights on.

Thoughts?

Sounds like the torque converter is locking and unlocking, that is going from 1:1 (od) to the lower gear. The computer will start to "hunt for gear" usually after a rear end gear change, or performance tc. The fix is to have your shift points changed in the computer.
