In my ongoing pursuit to upgrade my Tahoe, I've come to a point where I'm planning on installing a ham radio. On of the most ideal places I can find is in the overhead console. The only problem is that the rear A/C controls are already there. I don't what to remove the rear A/C, or the ability to control it separately. BUT, there is a set of controls on the back of the center floor console that could serve that purpose.

My question is this... Can I remove the A/C controls from the overhead console and still keep the rear A/C functional using the controls on the back of the center floor console? If so, please educate me on that process.

Yeah, I was debating on whether to just do that and see what happens. I just thought I'd throw out the question and see if someone had done this before.

My 98 has front/rear control in overhead, so maybe a run to upullit, or spend some time with wiring diagram. I'm sure your system won't be a no go on that issue alone. On my 82 I reformed OH console to re-arrange switches and make more room for Antenna cable bend using fiberglass and foam. Was proud of it.

In my 04, I was not able to control the rear A/C without the front overhead console rear A/C controls being plugged up
