To pull console down, there's one screw up close to the rear view mirror. Remove screw and slide the console forward. The blank I think is plastic riveted on but not 100 percent sure. It's easy enough to pull down and take a look.

unknown at this time.
lower the front of the console and carefully pop it out by releasing the clip tabs on it. while i do not use those power circuits you listed because of current and future needs, things like illumination for switches or voltage the the switch uses to trigger then relays those are fed for the most part from existing overhead console circuits. there is reserve in the existing fuses for that if needed for things that may not have been optioned. use the illumination circuit for lighting switches so they are in sync with the rest of the lights for example. my tpms system is to be tapped into the same circuit that feeds the added onstar fmv mirror so it is only running when key is on. i think you get the idea.

thanks again. that saves some wire running.. i plan on puttin 3 x illuminated rockers in that spot , and 4 x small LED pod units along the headliner. since its the type of system where the seperate led units go off a central control box, i can only make switchable power to the main box mounted in a location TBD, and still have to run the bundle of wires from each pod. so in this case , i can run common + and - to the overhead switches form that illumination source you suggest, with only one + leg coming from the control boxes to each acc leg of the switch (will be 3 different light systems total). hope thats not too confusing. just want to get it right the first time
