now I have basically 2 garmins, 1 is a TREAD and it has a crapload of maps and even shows private property lines and the whole bit, you can switch to topo maps or filter it however you want. A lot of times we end up going where there is no cell service so a gps is a must have, ya you can download maps on apps and stuff but I still prefer a gps or thomas guide if all else fails, that happened once too lol, stupid gps power cable took a crap and I think we were way out in utah somewhere

skip to about 4 minutes, in the beginning she just whines about the mount, which it does not come with a automotive mount, it comes with a roll bar mount, I had to buy a aftermarket automotive mount off of amazon. she also mentions it sync's with the garmin inreach mini2 (emergency satellite communicator) which I also have but I didn't know they synced (interesting) i'll have to check that option out. I bought the non-gmrs version of the tread, they come with or without a built in trail radio. I don't know what she is talking about it not charging it comes with a car charger and it has a monster battery which does take some time to initially charge before turns on if it has sat a long time.

Yeah I've never used OnX, just seen a handful of people on Youtube using and recommending it.

That Garmin seems plenty sufficient.
