p1870 code can someone simplify

has been in tranny shop 3 times, they just keep replacing the torque converter and after driving on the highway i can feel harsh shift 1-2 and then slips in third.
ive read on here about control valve body and someone else said tps. what could it be llikely and where do you guys recommend i get the parts from. thanks, you guys seem very informative. wish i would have found this site sooner.

also have gotten p0301 and p0420, dont know if that affects the tranny though.
have changed plugs and wires these two codes havent come back yet, but the p1870 has and is the only code as of now.

ok, im leaning more towards the servo based on the other threads, hope this works. tranny still on shops warranty, but dont know if theyre gonna charge me extra for this, but im gonna print the service bulletin out and show it to them, hopefully this solves one of my problems
