Do any of y'all have PA systems in your ride? I'm looking for one, and just wanted to see what people got.

I've got one through my ER siren....how loud it is just depends on the siren wattage. My whelen is a 100watt. Be very careful what you buy though depending on what you by and the option it has (ie if its not just a pa and has siren or horns etc) it is illegal in most places and will get you a nice little ticket for imper cenating otyou usea police or fire vehicle. (If you abuse it or use it inappropriatly)

I have a PA system hooked up to my CB radio. When standing still, you can hear it a good 100ft away, and super loud when you're right next to it. While driving though, with the wind and everything, you definitely can't hear it very well at all (plus crossing that illegal line if you're moving). Mines only like 7 watts though because that's the CB output.
In my area, anything not heard more than 100 feet away is OK. More than that though, you're breaking sound ordinances.
Be careful getting the systems with Sirens built in, they could get you into some trouble.
