Pacesetter Headers

I have a manifold leak on my drivers side and when thinking about replacing I get the thoughts of putting headers on. My truck has over 300k on engine but was partially rebuilt a year ago to remove AFM, it doesn't have a performance cam or anything but does have MBRP exhaust and K&N cold air intake. My research of the pacesetters have gotten me some mixed reviews on amazon and wondered if anyone can tell me if they are okay headers for the price or confirm that they are cheap like some reviewers on amazon. I cant fully trust amazon reviews and knew you guys would give honest answers. Are they okay for a 300k motor or should I just stick with factory manifolds if im not willing to buy Doug Thorleys? Thanks!

I saw one set of Pace Setter headers in person and would not buy them after. The quality is less than desirable but, is what would be expected from really low budget header. Check out Speed Engineering and there is a few on Amazon that some members have, cant remember off hand but, they were pleased with them.

I don't see why they would be bad, heck people are pulling motors all day long and throwing turbos on them with unknown mileage.

You'll need to tweak your tune with the addition of LTs.

I put those headers on my Silverado SS and never had any issues.

I put them on my 00 5.3 and they both leaked and cracked and had to be welded. HOWEVER I drove that truck like it was on the track so that has to be taken into consideration as well.

would I buy them again? no

Speed engineering is where it's at , I tow and spend a lot of time in the 3200 to 4000 rpm range for hundred of miles and no issues with mine at all and fitment was spot on .

Make sure you get some ceramic plug coils though the stocks will rub and burn.

Mine didn't fit with the front prop shaft in place. Had to take it off. No more 4wd

Mine is awd and it cleared no issue , how are your motor mounts ?

Motor mounts are fine.

I have them on my 2011 Crew Cab. They've been on for ~ 4 years and counting with no issues.

For added reference I have Dynatech headers on my 02 Silverado ECSB. I have had them for ~ 5 years maybe more (and counting). The Escalade as ARH headers. All of the turcks have aftermarket exhaust and other performance upgrades. The 02 ECSB is supercharged. No issues on any of them.
