I have seen quite a few paint matched Bowties, and a ton of black GMC logos for sale, on ebay, amazon, and jc witney, ect. My father is looking for paintmatched white GMC grill and tailgate emblems. He wants a white-out or iced-out look, so the camo an black emblems do not appeal to him. We can paint some if need be, but he would prefer to buy prepainted an cleared emblems. It saves a lot of time an headache. Does anyone know a site to buy them, or someone on the forum who sells them?

Remove the ones you have... take them to a paint shop

Another option is vinyl. Pretty quick and easy. It's how I've done all my current and past emblems

Not to hijack, but does anyone know how the rear "GMC" is attached? I want to pull and paint my front one but if the back is just 3m taped I'll pull it and leave it off. Any holes I'll paint it and replace it.

3m. No holes.

I pulled mine. I was going to paint and replace but even with the heat gun it got torn up pretty bad removing it. But it's all chrome under there.

Nice, thank you. I'm going to black out that chrome as well. Hate plastic chrome...

Just wrap it... I learned the hard way.

If you want to remove the chrome on the rear, you'll have to remove the plastic on the interior of the hatch... There's about 18 trim panel clips and a few screws--not too labor intensive, just be careful with the amount of force you're applying when pulling the panel up. You'll be able to access the 3 screws holding it on. Wrap I say!
