So when I bought my vehicle, it was snowing out (and the vehicle is white) so I didn't notice alot of the scratches/chips in the paint and such until I washed it a few weeks ago. After I noticed that, I figured I'd attempt to fix it with the Dupont Color match and clear. Matched the color, and went home to test this out. Took 400grit sand paper and sanded down the area first, then cleaned it with bug and tar remover, just to get everything off of it. Then I started to spray the hood. When it went on, it looks good, but when it dried, it was very dull and didnt match the rest of the paint..So I decided to give it another coat..same thing..So I applied the clear coat a few times, hoping it would change. It didn't. Basically, I'm looking for advice on how to fix my paint imperfections on my hood and such. Should I have applied primer first? Some of these chips were showing bare metal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I apologize for the long post). Pictures are posted at http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d190/klownish_/Tahoe/
