sure you could mix your own, as long as it's high heat, and you clean the calipers really good...one package like this can do about 4 cars...

Duplicolor kit works great. Very easy, just make sure you clean the calipers well or it will peel off.

I did mine last year with the caliper spray paint, first did silver, but it just didnt look right, then I did black. Much better, doesnt draw the attention away from the rim as much. IMO
