Lol.. I have a paint gun that I use for primers and sealers only, and my old Sharpe Platinum that I use for base and clears. I also have a couple of cheap back up and touch up guns. Powered by my home made air compressor that consists of 3 Gast motors and a surge tank that I converted into an air tank..

Sounds like a nice set up you got going there! I need to invest in some. Spray cans work all right but im sure this is gonna turn out pretty sweet!

Well its been too humid to paint, so figured I do some cleaning up. I made my parking lights look brand new by spraying the insides of them with simple green in the sink. Boiled some water and poured it in also. Swished the solution around and it removed the yellow tint inside them and cleaned it up good. I then wetsanded the outside with 1500 grit, followed with 2000 grit, then polished by hand for a beautiful shine. Tip: If you dont have compounds, you can get a nice shine by rubbing them with wax and soapy water.

Since im also painting the grille, figured I remove the gold foil from the bowtie with easy-off. I will then tape the outside off and will paint the inside black.

Another tip: If after doing the parking lights with the simple green and boiling water solution and the insides still look yellow, let them dry and spray some easy-off in there.. let it sit for a minute or two, then rinse.. But im sure u all know all this by now..

They are nice to have around. Ive had my Sharpe gun since the early 90s and its been good to me. If you are going to get one, consider the harbor freight gun. I have one and I use the crap out of it. Its not a bad gun to start out with, good price and it will spray good on a regular compressor. The new fancy expensive hvlp guns need very high cfm volumes to work properly.
