Painting chrome U255 spokes black

I gave plastidip another try yesterday. I done 3 coats and added another wet coat by the tape line and it pulled away much better!

May do the other 3 today and run plastidip untill I can find somebody to paint or wrap them.

Has anybody here ever painted their chrome u255's spokes black and leave the lip chrome? I love the look of the Boss 330 wheels but always hated the polsihed lip so I bought a set of U255's and wanted to have the spokes painted black. I talked to a body shop and he thought the paint wouldn't hold up long at all. Just wanted to have a few other opinions on whether he's right or not. He does good work and trust worthy but do not want to ruin the wheels if it doesn't work out.

I tried plastidip but it kept bonding to the tape and pulling the dip off the spokes. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to have them painted ASAP.

Back like 6years ago I had 24" boss 330s... And stock height :/ lol I got compliments on those rims like crazy.... Your U2 rims should look pretty darn good when u get done.

Thanks everybody! I finally got the wheels dipped just waiting on the local shop to get their alignment machine fixed so I can get the truck aligned and get them back on.

Looks good. Lip picks up the rest of the body chrome.

Yessir just wished I could find a good body shop to paint them for me lol.
