Painting dash bezel?

i have a question to all the people that have painted there dash bezel how do u guys paint it did u guys sand it down to get it smooth? primered it then painted it? how many coats and what kind of paint did you guys use?

I did mine. You don't have to sand it. Just clean it well (I used Windex and a sctoch brite "no scratch pad", then wiped it down with reducer). Primed and painted with automotive paint (White base, Jet Black micro flake, Platinum Micro Flake and Fire Apple Red micro flake, covered with 4 coats of clear) sprayed with an HVLP gun in my garage. No sanding necessary at all. Let me know I can help further. Here's a picture:
