That's not cheating. If you can get a good color match, that's being smart. Plus, it's almost free. I don't recall if it's in the thread you posted, but you can go to sign shops and ask for their vinyl 'scraps'.

Yep thats where I got mine - and yep, it was free :)

Should look pretty nice color matched Jochen, would love to get mine done as well but with all the road sanding that goes on in the winter time around here, it would look like crap pretty quick!

I would assume you could get yours painted and then use some of the 3M Clear Protection stuff to protect it, wrap it with that.
