So I was bored today and started on a little project. I factory color-match my kicker panels. They house a set of focal polyglass vr 6.5's components. Only took about 3 hours and cost around $30 to do.

Cleaned them with TSP( home depot) and a red scotch brite pad. Them a good wipe down with some duplicolor prep spray. Then a couple of coats of duplicolor adhesion promoter.

Wet sanded with soapy water and 2000 grit sandpaper, buffed and shined. Ended up pretty nice.

Pics installed are at night, going to take some in the daytime.
I'm happy, but wish it was shiner.

Looks great Robert.
The extra coats of clear coat should help 'em to take a few "kickings" without taking the paint off, and make 'em easier to clean.

I'm hoping so, but just might get the actual factory clear and go over them with that. Next on the list is the dash bezel and my a pillars once I fiberglass my speakers in them.

Thanks man, just took out the center console and going to highlight some parts of it with the same paint. Want to do the dash but I'm afraid of having to much glare. But I'm going to paint the a pillars once I make my pods for them. And I'm doing the dash trim today, just hope it sticks since it's so flexible.
