So I was bored today and started on a little project. I factory color-match my kicker panels. They house a set of focal polyglass vr 6.5's components. Only took about 3 hours and cost around $30 to do.
Cleaned them with TSP( home depot) and a red scotch brite pad. Them a good wipe down with some duplicolor prep spray. Then a couple of coats of duplicolor adhesion promoter.
Then came two coats of krylon primer.
Then a couple of coats of duplicolor perfect-match paint.( local Orielly's)
Then 3 coats of rustoleum lacquer clear coat.
Wet sanded with soapy water and 2000 grit sandpaper, buffed and shined. Ended up pretty nice.
Pics installed are at night, going to take some in the daytime.
I'm happy, but wish it was shiner.
