I painted my wheels a while back. I had a shop strip the chrome off which left the metal the perfect roughness for the primer. I used Rustoleum products. It's made for outdoor metal and figured it would hold up well. Put two light layers of primer on and them did the color. Took about one whole can of paint per wheel. It gave me three coats on each wheel.

Is there any powder coater's in your area?? It would prob be easier to have a shop blast them then PC them to whatever color you want..

A local shop to me will do a set of wheels for $200~
