I a wanting to paint my vent caps. I'm gonna use the duplicolor adhesion promoter and wondering if I need to scuff the caps before I apply the adhesion promoter. And if I do what grit should I use?

I like the color matched oe caps. They add a lil something to the rear end. The smooth caps a kinda plain for me. Thanks though. Those OE caps look horrible in black. Colormatched looks even worse. You see all the holes in them. Either get some Street Scene smooth caps or some Esky ones. I have Esky ones and to me that is one of the best things I have done to my truck.
Thanks Tracy.slightly scuff them with some wet or dry sandpaper...
I got mine painted professionally from a small shop for 60 bucks, if your worried about how itll turn out...

wow, $60 is pretty cheap. I thought it would be alot more. If I can find a similar deal, I might have to consider that.
Yea, theres a small GM collision place here that does our cities police cars etc.. He did my mirror inserts for 40 bucks too. Clear coated and all. Search around see if you can get lucky
