That turned out great
clean clean clean. it seems as if its got some silicone based dressing on it. looks like ur gonna need to sand it down again, clean it with soap and water very thouroughly and re try it. anytime ive had automotive paints wrinkle its been because of silicone based stuff being used in the past. were they "worn" looking like most of them are? the plastic, once worn a bit, tends to absorb more in the porus stuff, even if u cant feel the porousness of it, thats whats making it hazy or oxidzed from the get go....so all that to say, i feel its a cleaning issue, if its even possible to get it cleaned enough. im just worried that if u sand and repaint it as is, its going to continue to have issues later on...
When I smoked my tails I used an paint prep/wax grease remover to ensure no oils. i also had wrinkling at first but that was because I was putting the layers on too thick...I would agree with Chad on a cleanliness issue....the color match looks awesome-
Duplicolor has a new clear coat out that isn't the plain old lacquer clear, it's in a smaller can specifically designed for automotive paint and it works great...redid the clear on my wife's lexus headlights (which are roughly the size of a football field) and they came out flawless....the lacquer clear I sprayed my tails with 2 years ago is already chipping.
