I pushed the parking break pedal to the floor and it had no resistance at all and then I tried to release it with the lever and nothing?? its on the floor and not budging... I don't think the brake works cause I drove it and its the same as before and there's no light on the dash saying it's on.. So how do I get it off the floor and back to its original spot? 2001 Tahoe LT 5.3L V8

I am going to take a shot in the dark here and say the cable is probably chewed up and is the reason why the pedal is stuck to the floor, and why it doesn't work either. If you replace the cable you might be good to go, depending on the quality of the parking brake shoes and components. Or if you want to half ass it just disconnect the cable from the pedal, but realize that if the brake are hanging up even a little bit there can be enough heat to start a fire at highway speeds. So please jack up the back end and make sure both tires spin freely.

I'd look at a wrecking yard and get one from a donor vehicle. I don't think these things go bad too often.

Also having a parking brake is good when you actually need it. You likely will find yourself needing it on rare occasion and parking on a hill up against the parking pawl isn't good for the trans and can lock you up if enough pressure is put on it (won't be able to get out of park).

Also, if your state is like VA where I live we have vehicle inspections yearly. A non-functional or even loose parking brake will fail you here. They nailed me last year on the parking brake for being too loose and failed me.
